SprutCAM 11 is currently undergoing its beta test phase. There are many new features in this new version including:
New ‘5D Surfacing’ operation which includes tool orientation based on: Surface normal – Through curve – Through point – Flank – Rotary axis – fixed.
New ‘Helical’ operation allows a helical toolpath to be applied to a 3D surface model.
New ‘Corners cleanup’ operation calculates rest machining for internal corners based on the previous tool diameter.
New ‘Pencil’ operation allows easy cleanup of internal sharp intersection features.
New ‘Rotary roughing’ operation, allows easy roughing of stock material using a rotary axis.
New Toollholder collision avoidance allows trimming of the toolpath or tilt: front or side to avoid possible collisions.
New easy dynamic editing of calculated toolpath approach and retraction moves to enable easy optimisation.
